A project to conduct Lifecycle Cost Optimisation, providing material savings on through-life costs for a major global aero engine supplier on Civil Large Engines.

Over 5 years, the programme has matured into a team based across 3 locations, which now manages over 85% of our customers Large Engine Lifecycle cost initiatives.


We provided our client with the tools and methodologies to unlock knowledge and data from their processes and operations in order to increase production efficiency and reduce costs. These tools have now been adopted as part of their key business.

We conducted independent detailed engineering and commercial analysis of initiatives using privileged access to our customer’s technical and invoice databases to identify:

  • Component Modification
  • Extending Overhaul Manual Limits
  • New Repair Schemes and Limits
  • Reducing Workscope Creep
  • Increasing Time on Wing
  • Commercial Renegotiation

Our services are supported by specialists in reliability analysis, maintenance planning, repair engineering and asset management.

Our team have successfully delivered over £80m of savings to our customer which has earned us a ‘class leading’ reputation and are now the sole provider of Lifecycle Cost Reduction activity in this area.
